The residents of Hallow Hill surprise Rita with a surprise birthday party, Romeo crashes through a forest to rescue her, John David throws a grand ball and Rita starts having nightmares. Chaos and hilarity ensues. Another great story in this series.

    Rita's back and getting ready for Samhain Court. But as usual, expect the unexpected to happen in Hallow Hill. When a case involving Medusa lands on the court docket, Rita gets targeted by the Gorgon through her dreams.

    First her ex-husband shows up at her home wanting her back, refusing to acknowledge that she's remarried and happy. He sticks around town trying to charm her friends until Evie sends him back home for good.

    The vampire throws a ball to celebrate the blue moon and but an uninvited werewolf shows up trying to woo Rita. Keir and his brothers chase him away, leaving his wife alone with a feral vampire at the party.

    Medusa has been tapping into Rita's biggest fears, causing her to have terrifying nightmares. The book ends with a cliffhanger when Keir can't wake up his wife and no one knows why.

    A must read! Can't wait for the next book!

    This book is a little different than the others but is oh so good too bad we have to wait until January 2024 to finish this story. There are the usual characters and Rita is getting ready for another session of court when Lochlan her clerk, gives her a special case from his past, to read about. She is filled with unease about the story once read. Anyway her birthday is coming up soon and she is given a spectacular gift and John David, the vampire, is throwing another great party for Halloween, and what occurs at the party creates the ultimate cliffhanger for us. I can’t wait!
