Wenn sich der König einer Barbarenhorde als unverhofft heiß entpuppt …

Ich wollte doch nur einen Krieg verhindern.

Eine kluge Prinzessin hätte mit ihrem Vater gesprochen und ihn zur Einsicht bewegt. Stattdessen tue ich, was ich auf keinen Fall tun sollte: Ich reite auf meinem Pferd los und verlasse mein sicheres Schloss, um selbst mit dem Feind zu verhandeln.

Doch die Barbarenhorde, die drauf und dran ist, unser Zuhause zu belagern, entpuppt sich als größer als erwartet … Und sie sind alles andere als erfreut, als ich ein halbes Dutzend ihrer besten Männer außer Gefecht setze.

Sie bringen mich zu ihrem König … Und ab da gerät mein Plan ins Wanken.

Anstatt zu erklären, dass ich ihren Kameraden aus dem Kerker meines Vaters befreien will, lege ich mich mit ihrem König an.

Warum?

Wenn es verschiedene Grade von Alphas gäbe, dann würde der zwei Meter große Barbar mit dem strengen Blick und der tödlichen Anmut dem höchsten angehören. Als er behauptet, dass er mich zähmen wird, ist das eine Herausforderung, der ich nicht widerstehen kann.

Ich will, dass er es versucht.

Vielleicht wünsche ich mir insgeheim sogar, dass er das tut.

Ich will nur einen kleinen Vorgeschmack auf das Verbotene. Nur eine Berührung. Eine Erfahrung, damit ich mich nicht für den Rest meines Lebens frage, wie es wohl gewesen wäre.

Doch Barbaren spielen nach ihren eigenen Regeln. Er wirft mich über seine breite Schulter, bringt mich in sein Zelt und nimmt mir all meine Dolche ab … Sogar die, die normalerweise niemand findet.

Ich habe nur selten das Gefühl, mich überschätzt zu haben, doch als er mich ohne meine Waffen in sein Fellbett wirft, beschleicht mich die Befürchtung, dass ich mich diesmal möglicherweise übernommen habe.

    Mit hat das Buch sehr gut gefallen und ich war etwas traurig als es so schnell zuende war mit einem tollen Happy End.Nur was mich ein wenig gestört hat das er praktisch nur ans f..... gedacht hat....kann man ihn praktisch als Nymphoman betrachten?Aber ansonsten hat mir die Storyline sehr gefallen.
