Wayne Kerr was born and raised in Biggar, Saskatchewan, Canada (New York is big, but this is Biggar). Wayne spent twenty years living in the USA but has returned to Canada and now makes his home in the beautiful Okanagan region of British Columbia. The author of several books including: Braking Point, intensive Formula racing; Dead Ringers, A Pinot Noir to Die For and Murder on the Okanagan Express in the Black Swann Investigation series; Ric-A-Dam-Doo, a Special Forces thriller; for younger readers 'The X + Y Files' paranormal mystery series; Dwelf Guardian of the Realms, a middle-earth style adventure. When not reading or writing mystery/thrillers he is probably hiking, kayaking or playing pickleball.

The 'Black Swann Investigation' series features Reggie Swann, formerly Toronto's best and brightest homicide detective until she was framed for murder. After surviving ten brutal years behind bars, she's back. No longer a cop, living in Penticton, Reggie leaves no stone unturned as she becomes Canada's favorite Private Detective. Set in one of Canada's most beautiful locations, with unforgettable characters and nearly unsolvable murders, mystery readers will love this series.

Ric-A-Dam-Doo - retired Special Forces soldiers don't just fade away. Once a Snow Devil, always a Snow Devil! When a pair of teenaged girls are kidnapped and smuggled into Mexico the police and FBI investigations are stopped at the border. Former soldier PB Reese and his wife Janet Reese, a retired Interpol agent. will cross that line and any other they must to return the girls to their families before they vanish forever, doomed to a life of depravity.

One of Wayne's goals is to get more young people off the internet and into a good book.

The 'X + Y Files' series are children's chapter books for kids 9-12. Stories that capture the imagination. 'Monsters and Miracles' is an action adventure book with a surprise paranormal twist. 'Kristin's Ghost' is a paranormal mystery, solved using good old fashioned detective skills, with a hint of first crush and first kiss. 'Escape from Area 51' will blend science fiction into the above mix of adventure, mystery and the paranormal.

The 'Dwelf, Guardian of the Realms' series is for tweens and teens. Book 1 - The Book of Spells is a fantasy novel for kids 11-14. A teen, from our modern world, must face dragons, elves, dwarves, ogres and magic as she realizes her destiny, in this fast paced, middle-earth action fantasy.

a MUST READ for Formula One fans!

a MUST READ for Formula One fans!
As a passionate Formula 1 fan and an avid reader, Braking Point by Wayne Kerr was a truly exhilarating experience. This book strikes the perfect balance between a compelling story and the high-octane world of F1, setting itself apart from the typical romance novels or autobiographies often found in motorsport literature. The novel follows two vastly different characters throughout a single Formula 1 season, exploring not only the intense competition on the track but also the personal struggles and relationships that define their lives. The focus on family and friendships as central themes adds an emotional depth that elevates the narrative beyond just racing. These characters felt real, and their arcs kept me invested from start to finish. What really sets Braking Point apart is the meticulous attention to detail. Each chapter is centered around a specific race, complete with a map of the circuit at the beginning—complete with labeled turns—and updated leaderboards for both drivers and constructors at the end. This creative structure allows readers to follow the season as though it were real, giving the book a sense of authenticity that is rare in sports fiction. As someone deeply familiar with F1, I was thrilled by how accurately the author depicted the tracks, even down to the smallest nuances of their layouts. It's clear Kerr spent countless hours in a simulator to capture the intricacies of both the circuits and the cars. The descriptions of the races are so vivid and precise that I often found myself biting my nails, racing through the pages to see how pivotal racing moments unfolded between Niki and Shu. What makes this book even more accessible is the way Kerr introduces the reader to F1. In the opening chapters, the author provides clear and concise definitions of racing terms, catering to both seasoned fans and newcomers to the sport. Even as a longtime F1 enthusiast, I learned a few things from these explanations, which deepened my appreciation of the story. Overall, Braking Point is a quick yet unforgettable read. The blend of richly developed characters, gripping narrative, and immersive racing details makes it a standout addition to the world of motorsport fiction. Whether you're a lifelong F1 fan or just someone looking for a thrilling story with emotional depth, this book is a must-read. Wayne Kerr has created an amazing story that puts readers in the driver's seat, delivering a heart-pounding journey from start to finish.

An enjoyable read that draws you right in. Sometimes I felt like I was behind the wheel! The characters and their relationships are engaging, and the technical aspects of racing are fascinating. I love the details of all of the actual tracks. I hadn't been a formula 1 racing fan, but this has given me a new interest.

I downloaded the Audible version and really enjoyed hearing it read by the actual author. I felt his passion and enjoyed his reading style.

    Yay lady drivers!!
