Housie Mousie and the Christmas Crow Kindle Edition

5.0 out of 5 stars 3 ratings

It’s nearly Christmas - everyone’s excited.
Shops, streets and houses all over The Cotswolds twinkle with fairy lights, there’s an Ice Skating Extravaganza, folks are buying presents, there are charity events at the vicarage, and everyone’s looking forward to the best Christmas they've ever had! In one tiny street, people are busy decking the halls - all except one little family, at the little house at the end of the terrace, where Granddad Brown and his grandchildren live.

Maybe their Christmas won’t be quite the same this year. But Grandad Brown is proud… Little Harry, his youngest grandchild, is too young to understand what being poor means; he still clings to his secret wish. With all the excitement of Christmas, it seems the community have forgotten The Browns, until a crow takes notice and his kind crow’s heart melts...

The Christmas Crow counts on all the crows, Housie Mousie, Ratty, The Beaver Team, Amy, Sam and one kind lady, who all pull together to make the kindest, happiest Christmas story you have ever heard!

Housie Mousie and the Christmas Crow is the second book I have read about the delightful adventures of this lovable duo, House Mousie, a small field mouse, and her best friend, Ratty. In this charming Christmas story, the two friends learn of a small family, Grandfather Brown and his two grandchildren, who do not have the financial resources to have a happy Christmas. What can two small rodents who have no money or resources possibly do? With a little help from their friends, a magical crow, Ink Wing, the Beaver Team, two highly motivated children, and one compassionate lady, anything is possible. The animals and humans all work together combining their creative ideas, individual resources, and special talents to bring the spirit of Christmas to reality for this struggling family. The story is heartwarming, inspiring, unique, fun, and entertaining. There are lessons of teamwork, friendship, diversity, compassion, and giving of selflessly. A truly lovely Christmas story.

What a wonderful story for children, teaching them kindness matters and showing how we can spread kindness to change the world around us. The characters splash off the page; it is such an uplifting and inspirational Christmas message in the story. The idea of the storytelling of crows is so original and fresh, each crow being named after a kind of story and playing their part in an amazing act of kindness that makes such a difference to a little family. Great values in this tale, and it oozes charm. Sure to become a modern kids' classic. Super story, and highly recommended!

"Housie Mousie and the Christmas Crow" is a heartwarming Christmas story about Housie Mousie, her friend Ratty, and a magical crow named Ink Wing. The tale unfolds in a whimsical woodland setting where various animal characters prepare for the festive season. It revolves around a community effort to bring holiday cheer to a struggling family that cannot afford a Christmas tree. Through teamwork and kindness, the animals, led by Ink Wing and supported by the Beaver Team, manage to create a surprise Christmas celebration, highlighting themes of generosity, friendship, and the true spirit of giving. Highly recommended. I freely evaluated a complimentary copy of the book.
