Indian Lace (Nava Dance Studios Book 3) Kindle Edition
Hayden
Hayden carried a secret.
One that no one knew, not even his closest friends. He’d hidden it away for years and knew if they found out, the life he’d built could come crashing down.
When they ask him for a favour, he takes in the talented dancer, Ashok, but old feelings start to surface. Feelings he thought were long forgotten. He’s everything he hated, pushing each and every button, getting under his skin.
But he’s a changed man. Definitely not the same person he was and now he’s falling for him. Falling for the kind hearted soul with the long, dark hair and the perfect face.
The secret needs to be told, even though it could spell disaster. He can’t keep living a lie but it’s a chance he needs to take to keep the man he loves.
Ashok
Ashok carried a secret.
Actually, he carried three and while two weren’t exactly life-threatening, his final, darkest secret could be.
To say life has not been good to Ashok was an understatement. Growing up in a family where men are expected to be manly. Where public standing was more important than emotional well-being or one's own needs. Ashok fled the emotional and physical trauma for a life of freedom and dance, right into the home of big, grumpy Hayden.
Can Hayden help Ashok fulfil his dreams of being free of judgment and live his life on his terms? Possibly finding love in the process? Or will Hayden’s past rear it’s ugly head, crushing his newly found heart?
What will happen when their secrets are revealed? Will it spell the end or can they overcome it all to be together. HEA and lots of lace guaranteed.
This is the final book in the Nava Dance Studios series. It can be read as a standalone but other characters from previous books do appear.
Trigger warnings for sexual assault, bullying and homophobia.

About the author

Alex is an MM author from the NW of England. She's married with three grown-up sons and two Tamaskan dogs, her night time companions when she's writing into the early hours!
She writes gritty, realistic, mainly contemporary romance but always with a happy ever after.
Her tagline? Finding Forever - One Chapter at a Time.
An avid reader, she started writing one lunch break, writing her first book in no time at all. From there, her passion grew and The Nava Dance Studios series was born. Her writing style has changed, a darker feel creeping into her work and while she doesn't profess to be a dark author, she covers some socially dark subjects.
She'd love to move somewhere sunny with a beach view, continuing to write about her perfectly, imperfect men.
Follow her on Facebook, Instagram and Bookbub.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2023A beautiful ending to the Nava Dancers trilogy. It wouldn’t be an Alex J. Adams if it didn’t come with some heartbreak of course. But Hayden and Ashok had a beautiful story that left me feeling warm and fuzzy by the end.
I’ve loved Hayden since the Nava Dance series started. The coffee shop owner was always a side character for Seb and Dom but I always felt needed a story of his own. Hayden and Ashok have a slower burn to their story. The story is deep with a different kind of drama that has layer upon layer of emotions that unravel and is put back together piece by piece in each chapter. Hayden has parts of him that I would have never guessed from what we’ve come to know about our favorite coffee shop owner. And Ashok has a past that he’s running from. How Askok and Hayden overcome this is anything but easy. But it made for a beautiful love story with some very hard moments in between.
The story is emotional and at one point my heart just broke for Ashok. I went through a range of emotions from sadness to anger. But I also had a feeling of extreme happiness and by the end, I was at a bittersweet moment. I loved the ending of the story. But I was sad to know the Nava Dance series was over. The characters in this series have been through hell, but the endings have been one of the best HEAs one can ask for.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2023Another great series comes to end 🖤💛 I’ve enjoyed all three of these books, and I’d recommend reading them all. Just to get a feel of the characters, background story and writing. But you can enjoy it as a standalone also…
The beginning of this book guts me! It’s heartbreaking and I literally felt sick to my stomach. That’s how good the author writes!!! Check the trigger warnings!
Ashok and Hayden both have a lot to work through from their past, and they managed to do that with the help of each other and loving friends and family. Love the side characters in this!!! This is a great story where we really get to be a part of the characters development and process of healing!
Amazing writing style, sweet and tender moments 💛 Not always an easy read, but that’s the way Alex writes 💛
Some sizzling hot scenes as well, but not to many and and not to early. It wouldn’t fit this story.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2023I have truly enjoyed the Nava Dance Studios series. Indian Lace is a perfect ending for the characters I have enjoyed reading about. Hayden and Ash's story tackles some tough subjects but it is a journey in which Alex J Adams writes beautifully and realistically. It makes the reader believe that love can conquer all. Pure perfection.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2023This was a great story. Loved the characters and the story line. HEA at it’s finest. Nice to see the boys from the previous books make their appearance. Hope there are more books to come.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2024MC's surroundings are quite discouraging, which fuels his self-doubt as he fights his desire to be a dancer. He decides he's had enough and sets out to find a new career. Due to his lack of preparation, he finds himself at his new job too soon and without housing. He gets "rescued" by the distant and gruff Hayden. Is he, though?
Ashok and Hayden have overcome much adversity in their lives by leaning on one another and receiving support from those closest to them. We get to experience the growth and recovery of the characters in this wonderful novel.
My favorite parts:
1. HEA
2. Great side characters
3. From enemies to friends to lovers
4. Easy read

- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2023I was intrigued by the storyline and excited to read it. Some parts were moving, and the author highlighted some sensitive topics. I was disappointed, though, because I felt the writing was stiff and a bit choppy.
I read and reviewed a copy of this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2023Indian Lace the final chapter of the Nava Dance series MM romance by Alex J. Adams Wow I loved everything about this story. Alex brought life to some amazing characters. We got to see the in and out of Hayden how he got where he is today, Ashok his life and learning to trust anyone again much less love at all. Heart strings pulled, seeing the weak over come being bullied and the once not so nice change for the better. I love the passion Alex put into writing this book and series I recommend reading it and the complete series .
It is truly love conquers all together romance perfect read. Grab your tissue's

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic story!
Indian Lace, Nava Dance Studios Book 3, was a 5 star read for me, as all of Alex J Adams’ books have been.
Her writing style always creates stories that flow naturally and pull me into the character’s lives. She seamlessly incorporates very difficult subjects such as homophobia, unsupportive families, and bullying faced by the LGBTQ community into her stories with a great amount of sensitivity and always with a happily ever after.
When Hayden is put on the spot by his friends at Nava Dance Studio to take in their new employee Ashok, I have to admit I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Hayden’s character very much. Knowing what Ashok was going through, I was so angry when Hayden’s grumpy side was directed at him.
Ashok turns out to be much stronger than I initially gave him credit for though and every time he stood up to Hayden, I wanted to give him a high five. Between his family life, hidden aspects of his unexplored sexuality, and a viscous past experience, it was so good to see him finding that kind of strength within himself.
Through the forced proximity of their living arrangement, their friendship and attraction grows slowly and naturally, and Hayden really steps up and redeems himself when Ash sprains his ankle, helping him any way he can to make sure he doesn’t overdo it and hinder his recovery.
Hayden truly won me over when he insists that injured Ash spend Christmas with him and his loving and supportive family. Seeing Ashok welcomed and accepted with open arms, something he’d never experienced with his own family, gave me all the feels.
Sadly, just as Hayden and Ash really begin to open up to each other and explore their attraction, Ashok’s past comes back with a vengeance but Hayden is there as his rock in the aftermath of it all and their happily ever after is the perfect ending for this fantastic series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Secrets Need To Be Shared.
MM, Sexual awakening, Close Proximity ,Contemporary, Romance. Easy to read, fast paced plot with angst and drama throughout. Can be read as a stand-alone with no loss of enjoyment or understanding, contains scenes/ talk of homophobia and violence but ends with a well deserved guaranteed HEA.
