About the author

I am an editor, writer, and fiendish reader. The following quotation by Jean-Paul Sartre sums me up with perfect clarity:
“All that I know about my life, it seems, I have learned in books.”
I feel incredibly fortunate to have created a small but cozy nest for myself in the independent literary community, and I’m humbled by the emotional blessings that my work has granted me.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2012I was happily surprised at the quality and the freshness of the writing in this beautiful publication. I recommend Crack the Spine's print editions, as well as their weekly on-line magazine.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2012I was impressed by the quality of the production of this edition, as well as the contents. Crack The Spine is collecting the best works from its weekly online magazine into periodic bound editions. So this is something of a "best of" publication. I like that the writing is more accessible than a lot of pretentious, supposedly high-brow journals -- which isn't to say that the literary quality here is lacking! A nice breath of fresh air in the publishing world!
