About the authors
W.F. Lantry, a native of San Diego, spent many years walking the deserts and climbing the mountains of Southern California. Now he spends time roaming the Eastern Forests from Maryland to Vermont and practicing woodworking near the Anacostia River. His poetry collections are The Terraced Mountain (Little Red Tree 2015), The Structure of Desire (Little Red Tree 2012) winner of a 2013 Nautilus Award in Poetry, The Language of Birds (Finishing Line Chapbook 2011) and a forthcoming collection, The Book of Maps. He is the editor of the online and print literary & art venue Peacock Journal. Honors include the National Hackney Literary Award in Poetry, Lindberg Foundation International Poetry for Peace Prize (Israel), Crucible Editor's Poetry Prize, CutBank Patricia Goedicke Prize, Atlanta Review International Publication Prize, Inspired by Tagore Publication Prize (India), Linnets Wing Audio Poetry Award (Ireland), Comment Magazine Poetry Award (Canada), the Old Red Kimono LaNelle Daniel Prize and Potomac Review Prize. He also won the Paris/Atlantic Young Writers Award. He has been named finalist four times in the Premio Mundial Fernando Rielo de Poesía Mística (Spain). His work has appeared widely online and in print in over 20 countries on five continents. He currently works in Washington, DC.
Brook Bhagat is the author of Only Flying, a Pushcart-nominated collection of surreal poetry and flash fiction on paradox, rebellion, transformation, and enlightenment from Unsolicited Press. Her work has won contests at Loud Coffee Press and A Story in 100 Words, and it has appeared in Monkeybicycle, Empty Mirror, Soundings East, The Alien Buddha Goes Pop, Anthem: A Tribute to Leonard Cohen, and other journals and anthologies. She and her husband Gaurav created Blue Planet Journal, which she edits and writes for. She holds an MFA from Lindenwood University and is an assistant professor of English and creative writing at Pikes Peak State College.
