We are HUGE fans of the first Lou Zoo book, so we are even more excited for the newest book in the series. This is such a great book for kids to teach them all about compassion and kindness. My little one absolutely loves all of the zoo animals and is so excited to learn more about the new animals at the zoo. The illustrations are absolutely amazing and like no other. You will absolutely fall in love with this series and the characters. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Open after reading this book with my first-grade students we had some very deep and meaningful conversations about our feelings, and what it means, to be kind, and thoughtful. I love how this story last students to also really learn about acceptance. Excepting everyone for who and what they are. This is a definite must-read.

This is the second book of Lou's Zoo series and my students as well as myself loved it as much as the first book. The illustrations and overall message of the book is phenomenal in showing kindness & almost not judging a book by its cover or making assumptions. Highly recommend this book as well as the first for your classroom library for social emotional content!

All the existing zoo animals feel reassured, and the new animals are welcomed and feel accepted. A great read with wonderful layout and illustrations. Children will learn important values and skills in overcoming fear and anxiety when meeting new people and welcoming them and forming friendships.

    I really loved this story and the illustrations are fab! The fun facts at the end were a great addition.
