    Have you ever fallen in love with two side characters before? You hope against all hope the author will find their story rolling around somewhere in their brain? This was exactly what happened for me! While reading "The Wolf in My Tavern" I fell in love with the lovely Betsy and Callum's father, Heath. There was something about the feisty, determined Betsy and and the older blacksmith.
    It was so much fun to watch their little dance around each other and how they complimented one another even though they were total opposites. Such a spicy love story and wowzers the love scenes 🔥🥵
    L.V. Lane has done it again. Another perfect read for me! I adore this author and she is one of five authors I always pre-order from. I know I will be rereading this one over and over again. Such a perfect read for my cold friday morning snuggled up on the sofa. I highly recommend you give it a read too!

    I was so excited when I found out we were getting a story with Betsy and Heath! I loved Ada,Callum, and Grey's story and seriously wanted to know more about these two characters. Betsy is a delight. She was so caring and kind! She is also full of mischief and determination when it comes to getting what she wants. Heath is a bit grizzled and stoic. He has a back story that is sad but beautiful. His relationship with his son is wonderful. These two characters involved in a bit of a dance. It was wonderful to get to see the way they both thought and felt. This was definitely a short book but I enjoyed it very much. I cannot wait for the next book Miss Lane put out!

    I expected more. I have read every book of this series as soon as it comes out. I had been looking forward to this couple's story and was completely disappointed. There was little heat if any real smut. The whole thing felt rushed. The bulk of this novella were excerpts from prior books. There was an opportunity to really expand on this story but readers were left wanting. Total fail

    This couple is one of the stories I really wanted to read, so I'm so glad L.V. Lane gave it to us. If you've read A Wolf in My Tavern, then you already know Betsy and Heath are. Betsy has been pining for Heath for a long time. But he thinks she's too young to want someone like him. Well, she's not going to take "no" for an answer, and she'll use all the tricks she knows to prove to Heath that he's her one and only.

    Although this one is short, it's straight to the point of Betsy playing for keeps. It's fun and naughty with a HEA, so what's not to like, right? Definitely worth reading.

    In book sixteen of the Coveted Prey Series, L/V. Lanes takes readers on the journey of Betsy and Heath’s lives. It starts off with the capture of Betsy by the Orc Blighten of Bleakness when she is coming back from the market. Heath and his son Callum are the ones to rescue her.and Ada. Heath falls for Betsy then and there. Callum rescues the other tavern wench Ada. They become a pair soon after. In the events to follow, Heath tries to woo Betsy, though he is an old man to her. Callum is besotted with Ada, using every last minute to take Ada outside the tavern to woo her. A hearty romance blossoms between the two couples. Marriage vows are soon to be said. Betsy and Heath head to Hydornia, Heath’s former home.. The romance in this novella leaves a very fast paced romp. Readers of Catherine Coulter will love this novella.

    I love all of the Coveted Prey series books and this one is right there with the rest! I especially like to learn more about the relationship between Betsy and Heath that appeared in The Wolf in My Tavern. Betsy is such a lovely, sassy FMC and Heath made me swoon! Must read!
