After a visit from the Erebus leader, Crow is tasked with reigning Rebel in.
The young assassin is nothing but trouble in Crow’s book.
Rebel has a smart mouth with a bad attitude and Crow could do without the headache.
When shit goes south and life seems to send Rebel in a tailspin, Crow tries to step in and pick up the pieces.
Will Rebel let him? Or will the young assassin do what he’s good at and disappear.
Crow is a seasoned former Army Special Forces soldier and Rebel is a young hot-headed assassin.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2025In the last week, I have read some good fantasy and paranormal romances; but nothing beats this. I like well-written novels with action, violence when necessary. Thank you for “finding Rip”. Can’t wait for Real and Azrael to get together. But, come on, we fans have waited for-“f”ing- ever for Dave and Stone. Keep writing!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2025Erebus is a company of non-military assassins under the direct order of the Secretary of Defense Dave and Genesis is their counterpart with all current or former military operatives. Unbeknownst to the SecDef, the Erebus’s original head was secretly running and back door group of assassins – children that he had kidnapped at a young age and abused and sometimes sold to predators. Savage has replaced Solomon and Rogue, one of the original child assassins grown up is now a member of Erebus. With the original six pair up, Dave’s attention turns to getting help for those that were still on the streets by getting them properly trained. Rebel was living at Dave’s estate with Boston and Azreal while he joined Erebus but decided there were too many rules, he clashed with Savage and he liked being on his own.
Cord, a Genesis operative, is sent to find Rebel, reel him in and get him to the ranch or training. Finding Rebel was not the problem but Rebel’s bad attitude, smart mouth and preference to go his own way. But finding out the woman he protected for years above all else was not only not his mother, but she also kidnapped him as a toddler and loaned him out. Going to work for a local drug lord turns out to be a big mistake and Rebel needs Cord to help him rescue a teenaged girl who is being held in the mansion and abused.
This is an ongoing series which now was forked off into the lives of some of the teenaged assassins. Technically this can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the other Erebus books first. And while you are at it you really should read all her books because they are loosely tied together as each series progresses. There are always plenty of cameos or better and it’s great to know the players.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2025For me, this book was a little slow to start, but by the end I was hooked and couldn't put it down.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2025Rebel is a tortured soul who just wants to be alone. He was sold as a child to a monster who liked to torture him. Rebel also was a trained killer. It’s the only thing he knows.
Crow who we have all been waiting for. He was put in charge of bringing rebel back to Texas to the ranch. He knows rebel is a runner and it doesn’t go well when he catches up with him. Rebel doesn’t want to be forced to follow rules and take orders. So crow and rebel play this cat and mouse game until they finally come together.
There passion is unmatched and crow is falling hard. Rebel wants crow but he has severe trust issues. Can these two finally come together and have that happily ever after?
This book is filled with passion, justice, past hurts, and love. You won’t want to put it down or have it end.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2025We met Rebel in previous books in the series and he comes from a traumatic past. His disappearing act added to his history makes him a bit of a loose cannon. Crow is tasked with reigning in the young assassin. The two do not get along and it makes for quite the game of cat and mouse. When Rebel falls into working for a dangerous criminal he must rely on Crow to escape. The two’s chemistry sparks quite the fire, and in spite of their differences they develop trust and friendship. When Rebel’s former employer does the unthinkable can Crow reach Rebel in time or Will their love story be cut short? Another excellent story of two assassins falling in love and finding lasting happiness.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2025Erebus assassins get better and better!
Rebel is a loose cannon and Crow is task with bringing him home. Simple.
Then all hell breaks loose and Rebel and Crow come together pretty darn quick!!! Loved every second of this great addition!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2025The first books were well thought out and exciting. This one had all the action but a lot of the scenes were unbelievable while most of the book seemed rushed. I was excited for these two after the last book. Rebel was a spitfire and I'm glad to see him make the choice he did in the end
- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2025It ended kind of abruptly. I love Reese Knightley’s books but I had trouble connecting with the main characters in this one.
I still like it but I think I might like her other series better that the Erebus series. That said, I will still read every single one of her books! ❤️❤️❤️
