The blend of sci-fi, ancient mysteries, and alien shapeshifters had me hooked from the first chapter. The characters are so well-developed, especially the four shapeshifter progenies who are both relatable and inspiring. The story keeps you on edge with its fast-paced twists, and the deeper themes of control versus nurture make it thought-provoking. If you're into gripping, imaginative tales that balance action with a deeper meaning, this book is a must-read!

Best story I have read this year! What a remarkable, suspenseful, thought provoking, exciting tale!

Grips you from the start and won’t let you rest until you reach the breathless conclusion! Brilliantly researched and written in intricate historical and geographical detail. Kudos R.M.Alwyn! What a triumph!

I can’t wait to see who plays this amazing array of characters in the movie series! If anyone in Hollywood has any sense, they will be getting movie rights to this one. Twilight. Hunger Games. Raindrops of the Gods!

Author R. M. Alwyn has brought us a potential masterpiece in “Raindrops of the Gods”—with its truly great storyline, characters, and world creation both then and now, here and out there. I love the blending of science fiction, alien shapeshifters, and ancient mysteries with kids and folks from today.

For me, though, the writing is overdone, especially for a young adult book, and it needs editing (to tone it down to a level that flows better) and proofing. I used to work in publishing so I’m extra fussy about this. Once all that’s done, it’ll be a major contender.

I read this book in a single day—it was hard to put down! The characters are introduced in a captivating way, and I loved how the author seamlessly weaves folklore and mythology from around the world with historical context. The story of Ancient Alien shapeshifters and their ancestors battling for control of a mysterious sphere is truly riveting.

Great book! Go Quad Squad! It’s been many years since I’ve finished a book but I was fully invested in how all the intriguing characters would come together. I thoroughly enjoyed the familiar worldwide locations and reflected on my own understanding of the ancient history of earth! Looking forward to the next in this series.

I thought the concept was VERY interesting and I like the kid's characters. It was a bit confusing though. The book starts with well written and interesting vignettes of the various aliens (who are not the main characters) however, a few of them are main antagonists. I kept wondering who are these people and are any of them the main character? nope. It was difficult to keep their names and info in my head as I tried to figure out when the kids from the blurb would enter the story. About 1/3 of the way into the book we finally meet the kids. About 1/2 way through the book THEY meet. After they meet the story is sort of two dimensional and feels rushed. (There is only about 50 pages having to do with the main characters.) I wanted to love this book. I think if the author edited it better, maybe put the kids front and center and then used his vignettes to flesh out the secondary characters after you meet them I would have liked it better. It felt like he wrote the vignettes and then came up with a concept to use them in a book and added the kids as a means to an end.

"Raindrops of the Gods" is a story that captivates you from the first page. The author's ability to blend science fiction, ancient mysteries, and extraterrestrial shapeshifters is fascinating. The characters are well-developed, especially the quartet of young protagonists facing moral dilemmas and power struggles. The balance between action and deeper themes makes it both exciting and thought-provoking. A must-read for those who love imaginative and meaningful stories.

If you, like me, are worried about ancient deities coming to earth to reclaim dominance, stealing your treasures, and enslaving you, then Raindrops of the Gods is a must-read. The story is engaging, and as the adventure builds up, the well-written narrative will keep you interested. It's a remarkable mix of sci-fi and ancient mysteries, hidden secrets, and the ongoing struggle between good and evil. It's a delightful read for sci-fi and mystery fans alike.
