I’m A Dead Man Walking Kindle Edition
A brilliant law student. Heir to a legacy. Loyal, obedient, untouchable.
But Amir Ahmad has a secret buried in blood—and the deeper he climbs, the closer it comes to the surface.
When a violent past returns in the form of Lyra, a ghost with a god complex and a vendetta, Amir’s carefully constructed life begins to fracture. She’s not here for redemption. She’s here to finish what she started: a psychological experiment born in the shadows of government programs, secret files, and family betrayals.
- As Amir spirals into a web of conspiracies, cover-ups, and conditioning, he’s forced to confront the truth:
- He was never a survivor.
- He was the prototype.
- Now, with his former mentor—Michael West, a man built from guilt and silence—they must choose: burn down the machine that made them…
- Or become the new architects of power.

About the author

As a Black man, a father, Husband, and someone who’s walked the long road toward healing and accountability, I don’t just write—I witness. I advocate. I remember. My journey, shaped by a foundation in paralegal studies and the calling of a certified life coach, exists at the intersection of personal growth and systemic reckoning.
My work is rooted in the lived realities of Black men and women navigating cycles of incarceration, poverty, and resilience. I write for those who’ve been counted out. I speak for those who’ve been silenced. And I believe—deep in my bones—in the power of second chances, especially for our people coming home from behind the wall.
Being a Black father shapes everything I do. It keeps me accountable. It reminds me that legacy isn’t just about what we leave behind—it’s about what we fight for while we’re here. Fatherhood is resistance. It’s love. It’s responsibility. And it’s one of the greatest honors of my life.
I’ve written The Road to Reentry (2017), Pursuing Redemption (2020), Black Fatherhood (2023), and Reclaiming Freedom (2024) as testaments to our ability to rise, to rebuild, and to reclaim our narratives. These books aren’t just stories—they’re blueprints for transformation, for justice, for truth-telling.
Through my writing, my coaching, and my advocacy, I aim to hold space for healing, push for equity, and remind our communities that we are more than our mistakes—we are the legacy, the hope, and the blueprint for something greater.
