Kirsty Dallas still has trouble spitting out the title 'author'. When people ask her what she does for a living, she starts by telling them about her 2 day a week job working for an optometrist before slipping on the end in a hushed tone 'I also write...and stuff'.
She writes comedy, Decker's Wood being an international best-seller and award winner, and also writes in the sub-genre of contemporary and dystopian romance. Kirsty has a closet horror fetish - John Jarratt and Wolf Creek...O.M.G - which has seen her embark on joint projects in the literary and film world with Director and screenwriter, Chris Sun. As co-writer and script editor on the film Boar, Kirsty gained an intimate knowledge of the Australian film industry and in 2017 Boar was signed to Universal Pictures Australia for a nation wide theatrical release. While she adores writing, and cannot imagine a world without words, she also loves passing on the knowledge she has accumulated over the years to those just starting out. So feel free to reach out!
