Suzy Davies is a Children's Author and Young Adult Writer. A certified Teacher of English with certifications in Lifecoaching and Counseling, she has been writing books for over 10 years.

Her new retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's, "The Snow Queen," is available on Amazon worldwide in ebook, kindle and Kindle Unlimited. The paperback (black and white NEW COVER by Bit Vejle) is NOW launched! The interior features original paper cut art by Hans Christian Andersen, courtesy of Museum Odense.

Suzy's latest book's a new middle grade; a whimsical animal friendship adventure.

"HOUSIE MOUSIE AND THE BIG CHEESE"

inspired by the classics - "The Wind in The Willows," and "Stuart Little." Now available in ebook, kindle and illustrated paperback. Helen Geiger is the notable SCBWI artist for this tale.

Delighted to announce that the second book in The Housie Mousie Middle Grade Adventure Series will launch in 2024, in the autumn. "Housie Mousie and The Christmas Crow," is illustrated by artist Emily Heaven, and our publisher is Elite Lizzard Publishing in Canada.

      • I originally fell in love with language at an early age. As a teen, I loved the notion of journalism. But when I fell in love with literature, I realized that with fiction, you had far more freedom to be creative. That, of course, does not reduce your responsibilities to young readers in any way whatsoever. I have been writing since I was six years old. I started to write professionally ten years ago, when I knew that writing made me very happy. Great literature and great writers inspired me to write, and to improve my craft with each new book I publish.

      • Difficult to choose. I think for children it would be "Paddington Bear" or "The Wind in The Willows." For young adult, it would be "The Snow Queen." And for adults it would be "The Remains of The Day," "The Great Gatsby," "To The Lighthouse," or one of Jane Austen's perfectly structured novels.
