Brittany Putzer
BIOGRAPHY

Brittany Putzer is a stay-at-home mom who lives in Central Florida with her husband, two sons, and mini zoo.

Growing up, she turned to books to escape her real-life obstacles because it was easier to pretend to be a wizard, vampire, or damsel in distress.

Although she enjoys reading, her passion has always been writing. Her writing is a wonderful blend of dark and light themes, with colorful sprinkles of sarcasm, humor, intrigue, sweet kisses and, on occasion, dramatic cliff hangers...

Brittany Putzer Interview On 31, Mar 2022

"Brittany Putzer lived in central Florida most of her life. Writing is her hobby, an escape from the pressures of being an adult. She is a mother, a writer, a reader, and a podcaster. She published her first book in 2020. Her writing is wonderful with a great sense of humor and a crap ton of sarcasm. With her writing, she aims to change lives and encourage others."
In which city/town did you spend most of childhood?

I lived in central Florida most of life, until I married my high school sweetheart and he joined the military.

What was one of your favorite childhood snacks and do you still like it the same?

I loved blue raspberry Slurpees and nacho cheese Doritos. Do I like them still? They make me a little queasy LOL. But I’ll eat them every now and then. Mostly I just consume way too much coffee and caramel goodies.

How did books help you to escape the real-life obstacles?

Books are magical portals. They allow you to escape, become someone else. Somebody stronger. More protected. Loved unconditionally.

When did you start writing full time? Oh, when did that happen?

LOL. I’m a mother, teacher, maid, cook, wife, etc. There is no way I could write full time. Writing is my hobby, escape from the pressures of being an adult.

What inspired the plot of your book, Feathered Dreams?

My love for animals, princes, and the desire to make the world a better place. Why do you think so many people resonated with and loved the book as much as they did? Because so many people love a good rags to riches story that also makes you laugh and swoon.

What are some underrated books or authors you know that never made it to the bestselling list?

Frankie Page and her Moore Series, SJ Pratt’s The 716, Dicky Kitchen Jr.’s The Average Man, Nellie C. Lind and her Cyborg series, and Dahlia Reign Contracted to the Devil.

What is the central idea or theme behind the Feathered Dreams series?

Always believe in yourself and don’t judge a person by their status or appearance.

Do you write to escape or to focus more?

Depends on what I need at the time.

Can an author ever have "vacation" weeks or months where they don't write or is it something you just always want to do?

I would love to write 24/7! But I need breaks lol.

What do you think is more helpful to a writer: Good reviews due to their encouragement or bad reviews due to the (sometimes) constructive criticism?

Good review.

What did you enjoy most about writing the Feathered Dreams series? Do you plan on adding more books to this series?

I loved writing the characters of the Feathered Dreams. They are so special! Hopefully 2 more books will be coming soon!

Why do you think a lot of very beautiful stories never get to see the spotlight?

There are so many good stories out in the world! It’s a beautiful thing to have so many options as a reader. But the spotlight is only so big, lol. As a writer I don’t aim to be in the spotlight, I aim to change lives and encourage others.

What kind of tactics do you use to ensure a more productive writing session?

Music, coffee, snacks, and an idea of where my story is going.

Are there any stories you're working on that you want to share with the world in the near future?

Yes! I have an 18+ wolf shifter romance releasing April 2022 called Scarlett’s Tail. It’s about a young woman finding where she belongs in a dark and scary world.

What has your AllAuthor experience been like so far? What are some highlights?

All Author has a wide range of freebies like mock-up images that I love! It makes it easier for me to promote my books.

Alyssa and Zac’s story is endearing with sprinkles of humor throughout. I love that Alyssa was so obsessed with coffee LOL it makes her character relatable to me. I also enjoyed that Zac was an alpha male, but not too controlling, but OMG if he says Sunshine just one more time...With that being said, there was a lot of repetition x). I almost gave up on it because I was getting so annoyed. There was also a lot of showing AND telling scenes. Where one or the other would have made it feel less repetitive. Also some of the scenes didn’t feel believable to me, like when she felt a condom fill up while it’s inside of her, or when Zac drives (when time is of the essence) instead of his rich butt hopping on a private jet. And the plot felt extremely similar to 50 shades (without the kink). But over all the book was a wonderful escape 😊.
The message in this book is clear, that our past doesn’t define us and that we can have our own happily ever after even if we aren’t necessarily in search of it.
Now on to Bray’s story 😉

I love how Cassandra and Robbie balance each other out, where Cassandra is self-concise, Robbie makes up for it with his alpha no BS attitude. I also appreciate how their tale explores mental health and how important it is to take care of it.
The whole Moore series is filled with family fun! Especially with their fun competitions throughout. The heartfelt love and dedication these siblings have for one another is exactly why I love this series!

What a super sweet read. It is light and steamy, exactly what I needed! The opening scene is beautiful and starts the emotional roller coaster the title encompasses, Learning to Love Again. I love that the MC Layla owns a bakery and Café, it really paints her character and can explain her little bit of fluff. And that she smells like vanilla buttercream frosting LOL OMG beautiful!

This is a great romance book from start to finish, and Frankie did a wonderful job developing her world, creating her characters, and making you feel all the feels!

I am not against ‘foul’ language, but I did feel like F**k was used too much. But I did love that Frankie used many of my ‘coined bad’ words in her story; douchenoozle, douchcanoe, etc. These words were words I said in front of my parents so I wouldn’t get grounded for saying the ‘real’ words and I loved that she sprinkled these in there. It brought humor and creativity to the story for me.

Frankie portrayed the Moore family interactions perfectly! I was adopted and grew up in a house with 7 people and her scenes had me reminiscing with the fun way the characters poked fun at each other had me laughing and spitting out my coffee.

Frankie does an amazing job pulling at your heart strings and I am finding myself shipping Letty and Jake (hint hint Frankie) because I love them so much. I mean come on! A fireman who also loves the ladies and a fiery headstrong bartender/business owner!

What a great debut novel!

Ember Vulterra stays hidden in the shadows and pushes everyone she once loved aside. Then everything changes when she enrolls in college and attempts to step out of her parent’s footsteps. But the past is hard to bury and secrets surface that turn her world upside down.

This duet superhero romance is filled with mystery, suspense, and intrigue. I love the characters! Especially Stella and Billy because of their love and devotion to their friends. I love that we get to witness the characters grow physically, mentally, through their powers, and their relationships. But there are a lot of characters to remember throughout the book and I found myself back tracking to recall who they were and what their abilities were.

Although in the beginning it was slow moving the overall pace of the novel was good. I found some of the descriptions to be long and I was skimming to get to the main idea. Some of the dialogue was confusing because in-between was a description and I forgot what the dialogue said before it x). What really stood out to me was the combat scenes! They are written very well.

The heat level for this romance is 2/5, there is some sweet kisses, tension, and touching but I wanted more LOL. But overall I felt all the feels and look forward to the next book in the series!

Average Joe is a perfect rainy day read. It makes you laugh, while making you appreciate your fur companions and healthy parents. I love all the 80’s references and it made me miss movie rental stores. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a unique feel-good book.

      • Publishing my first book baby opened my eyes to both good and bad things in the publishing world. The best thing I learned is to always reach out to others when you are struggling. I've made so many new friends going through the same thing as me. I've also learned how expensive and time consuming publishing is x). So it can discourage me to write more, because I feel burnt out.
