      • Absolutely! A lot of myself goes into my lead female characters. A certain snark and stubbornness, for example. I also use some real experiences, and my first book All Things New was based in a town very much like my own.

      • To be honest? Intimate scenes. I keep my books fairly clean, but even the general experience is hard for me to write from a male perspective.

      • Keep going! And don't wait. I felt like I had to have my kids raised before I could pursue a career... I now have two books under my belt and a series in the works and my kids are still young (11, 9 and 6). It's harder, for sure, but I wish I would have started a long time ago.
