This book is really great. Reading this book makes me proud to be who I am. This helped me stand firm and accepted myself and say firmly that I AM A LESBIAN and I am not afraid to say it either. People that judge us are a disgrace and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me want to puke on the people who judge who we are. Thank you Charlena e Jackson for writing this book because you helped me acknowledge who I am, what I am, and where I came from. This book helped me acknowledge my HERITAGE.

While reading this book I was in deep thoughts because I really relate to this book. I always had an eating disorder and I thought that I was fat because other people said I was fat. But when I read this book it saved my life because I went through the same experience as Skyler.
