When I was a kid, I used to love to play tricks on my brothers. One day, at school a friend brought a Frankenstein mask that fit completely over the head, and it looked very real. I asked to borrow it and planned to scare my brothers. My parents had six children. My older siblings, my sister Myrta and brother Dion were already out of the house and the ones left in the nest were me, 11 years old, Les, 8 Years Old, Roy 6 years old and Clem 1 year old.

At the time I slept on a top bunk bed and my brother Les on the bottom one. Both Roy and Clem slept in another bedroom with my mom and dad. When my mom put us to bed, I took out the mask that was hidden under my blanket and looked down at my brother in the lower bunk. I told him that I learned a new magic word, and if I said It, I could turn into any monster that I wanted. Les just uttered something unintelligible and turned on his side to go to sleep. I insisted that what I said was true, and said I’ll prove it. “Now, I’ll have to whisper the word to myself because I don’t want anybody else to know it. I said to wait a minute, and I got back on my bed”

I put the Frankenstein mask over my head and looked down at him. He started crying as he cowered under the covers. Trying not to alert my mother I told him to shush and said it was only a mask I pulled it off and said, “See.” He said that he was going to tell our mother and to prevent him; I said that if he didn’t tell, we could scare our brother Roy with the mask. An evil smile came upon his face and we began to develop a plan to scare Roy. The next day my mother left us in the apartment and told me too watch my brothers while she went across the hall to talk to our neighbor for a minute. This was the chance we were waiting for. I asked Roy to come to the bathroom with me because I wanted to show him something really cool. I told him to turn around because I was going to change into a monster. There was a look of disbelief on his face but he turned around anyway. As he did so I put on the mask. Okay I said turn around. Roy turned and his eyes became as wide as saucers and he started shaking uncontrollably. Les and I started laughing and Roy attacked us. He was always ready for a brawl. We held them down and told him that if he stopped trying to kill us, we could put on the mask and scare our baby brother Clem. He smiled and readily agreed. Again we had to wait for the perfect opportunity. It came the next day, when we were all in the living room and my mother was washing clothes in the next room. I put on the mask and looked at Clem who started screaming, sending my mother in to see what was going on.

When she saw me with my mask on, she immediately understood what I was doing. She picked Clem up and ripped the mask off my head. Lester and Roy told mom that Frankie was scaring all of us with that stupid mask. She sent me to my room without listening to me when I told her that we were all in on the scheme. She sent me to bed and Lester and Roy were sent outside to play. How do you like that, my own brothers threw me under the bus and squealed on me. I looked out my window and I saw my brothers and all my friends laughing and playing under a fire hydrant that someone had opened. I was fuming, I’ll show them, I’ll stay in my room until I’m forty five years old, and I won’t come out of my room and never speak to them again. 40 minutes later, my mom released me from my prison and told me to go out and play with my brothers. We forgot all about the mask and waited anxiously for an unsuspecting driver to drive pass the Fire hydrant so that we could redirect the flow of water with our arms and try to soak the driver. There were very few cars with air-conditioning at that time and many people drove with their windows open. We had a great time running from the drivers who pulled over and chased us all over the neighborhood for getting them wet.

The next day I returned the mask. It was too stressful to go scaring my brothers with it.

No I don’t live there anymore. When I was a child, we moved right across the river to Hoboken, New Jersey. As children, my friends and I would often take the ferry across the Hudson River to New York City. It was only a short distance across. I think that people love New York City because of diversity of people and the fact that it just never sleeps. As a teenager we would often go to and spend hours in the different neighborhoods such as Little Italy, Chinatown and the village just to hang out.

Oh that’s easy, Music and girls

I loved Doo Wop and Pop music such as runaround Sue, Runaway, Shout and songs like that.

Determining the sequence and the correct flow of each story and where it would appear on the pages of the book.

There are four or five stories that are based on true events as I experienced them during my career as a licensed private detective

Some of the plots were based on true events and others where based on my observations of people around me. As far as themes are concerned anything and everything that I experienced could be the theme of a story.

Writing a song is easier, because a story has to have more substance to it and has to hold the readers interest for longer then several minutes.

I believe that writing it is definitely a talent, but it has to evolve into a skill as you study the mechanics of writing. I think that a writer, who is always in the moment, sees more opportunity to write about the things he or she observes.

I generally meditate, or relax near a lake or river and just enjoy nature.

I say, don’t be afraid to show your work as often as you can, remember that your work is the culmination of your creative energy which is the same energy that is available so us all and as such it is just as worthy of consideration as anyone else’s.

There are many free online courses to start you on your journey as a vocalist. Many of these courses start you off with breathing exercises and ways of controlling your voice. The one thing that you have to remember is that in order to become a better singer you have to sing often. There are also inexpensive karaoke machines that will help you develop your voice. They are a great way to develop a good singing style, and they are a lot of fun.

I have always had a Knack for writing and as I tell many people, a song is only a very short story told in rhythm rhyme and music. Once I began writing stories as a child, I realized that I had some talent in music and developed writing songs from that perspective.

Yes, I am contemplating a story about a young man who discovers that he has a twin brother who he has never met. His mother confesses that she needed the right time to tell him about the circumstances of their birth. It turns out that the mother is and abductee of extra terrestrial race, and she decides that it is time for him to meet his brother.

It has been several months, and I am very happy with all Author and their author’s services. My son who is also a writer has been associated with them for a while and he was so impressed that he referred them to me.
