      • I've incorporated bits and pieces of my own experiences into my writing. Sometimes it won't be concrete though. I'll write about a feeling an experience evoked rather than the experience itself.

      • I think they're probably a bit more aware because they have more information readily available than any previous generation. The internet also gives authors many more ways of making their work available to readers.

      • I've written for most of my life. It's always been a part of who I am and how I express myself. I think that I've become better about sharing that with others in the past decade or so. It's a really scary thing to open yourself up to criticism of your writing because it's so personal.

      • A lot of writers pressure themselves to write every day. I don't. Some days things flow more easily than others. If I have a day when it's not flowing I put it aside and do something else. I try not to put too much pressure on myself to be done by a certain point or produce a certain amount. I try to regard fiction writing as an escape.
