I love writing. My dad bought me a Brother's typewriter when I was 16. That encouraged me to start writing. I typed out 3 plays and 70 poems.

I have a Master's Degree in English Literature from the University of Houston, 2002. I write articles on topics that interest me. https://dailytopics.medium.com/

What hobby do you miss most from your childhood? Why?

Reading books.

What books do you remember reading during your childhood?

The Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, James Hadley Chase.

Who was the first person you shared your first ever story with?

My friend.

When did you decide to become a published writer? How has the journey been?

It's a learning experience. I learn from it everyday.

What is the best book to read if someone wants to become a real estate agent?

You select a good book on Real Estate based on its topic and reviews. Currently there is no best book on my list.

What are some things women can learn from your book, Keeping Your Husband Close to Your Heart?

If women are experiencing a slump in their marriage life, my book offers them the guy's perspective. Changing your outlook based on this will help revitalize your marriage.

How much did you research while writing your book, Money Trade Stocks?

I have been trading for nearly 10 years. It took me 6 months to research my book.

What are some fun and challenging brain games?

I play Word Puzzles, Block Games, CrossWord Puzzles.

How do you decide between writing a poem or a story?

Poems are direct and short. Stories require narration, description, and dialogue. So it's not that hard to decide based on your subject matter at hand.

What is more fun, writing poems or writing stories?

Poems, of course. Short and sweet.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to write plays/musicals?

Research about it. Watch YouTube videos on it. Watch plays and musicals to understand the genre. Then study some sample scripts before you even start on your own.

Have you ever written a manuscript or screenplay with a typewriter? What in the world was that like?

I have written short stories, and 3 plays, on a Brother typewriter that my dad bought me at 16 years of age. I also typed out 70 poems.

What purpose does writing serve in your life?

Writing helps the creative process of your mind. It gives me satisfaction to see something I have created.

Which is the next book you are working on? Is it a series or a stand-alone book?

Presently none.

      • I plan an outline before I write. I value a reader's time. So to keep my writing effective, I try to make my writing tighter by omitting unnecessary words. Plenty of revisions after my first draft also keeps my writing style in check.

      • I have been writing since I was 12. My dad gave me an empty journal when I visited Doha, Qatar on vacation. He asked me to write on any subject. So I wrote about the culture of the Middle East, the people I came across and the lifestyle I saw as a 12 year old kid. I somehow lost that journal. I even drew rough hand-drawn illustrations in it. When I was 16 he bought me a Brother's typewriter. This encouraged me to write 3 plays and 70 poems on the typewriter. Apart from my dad, my brother Simon, had a knack for story telling. I envied him and started writing to prove I could also story tell through words. :)
