There were times when I never would have believed how appreciative I've become in the aftermath of hardship. Early childhood trauma led me to what turned out to be healthy introspection for much of my life. Facing myself was important, and looking further inward was the only way for me to be presented with the most profound understanding of why we see things the way we do: a most powerful life-changer.
