BIOGRAPHY

I've written two books on canoeing in the remotest parts of the Amazon. "Up the Creek: an Amazon Adventure', and 'Into the Amazon.'

I love adventure, and make expeditions to some of the wildest places of the world. Usually by canoe, bike or hiking.

I've been enrichment lecturer on Silversea, Seabourn, Holland America, Cunard and Fred Olsen cruise lines, as well as giving dozens of talks on land.

The TV film 'John Harrison Explorer' was filmed on a river in Brazil by National Geographic in 1991.

When at home I'm a carpenter and builder, and renovate houses in Bristol where I live in the UK.
