Laura Roberts writes steamy romance under the pen name Laure L’Amour, has written an entire novel in just three days, and publishes books that press buttons at Buttontapper Press. She currently lives in Sacramento, California with her artist husband and their literary kitties, and can be found on Twitter @buttontapper or Instagram @LauraRobertsRomance. When she’s not writing, she can be found watching reality TV and romcoms, testing chocolate recipes, or searching for more typewriters to add to her collection.

  - Absolutely! And I think that writers who claim they haven't are either lying or simply don't recognize the real-life bits they've snuck into their work. Even if you're writing about a fantastic realm or a galaxy far, far away, you're still writing about human emotions and interactions, building your own values or feelings into those characters. We don't make EVERYTHING up, although part of the trade means that we never have to reveal which parts are "real" and which are just the products of our imagination. ;D

  - Writer's block usually happens when you feel stuck, either with the work itself or with another area of your life. I try to shake things up, look at the problem from a different angle, try writing something else, or brainstorm for a bit to see if I can get un-stuck. Sometimes talking through a problem with another writer is really helpful, since they can point out a new approach. I think there are lots of ways to attack the problem, but the most important thing is to keep trying until you can find a way out.

  - I don't read my reviews, for the most part. Reviews are for readers, not authors, so I do limit my exposure to them, since I'm not the intended audience. If readers want to reach me with questions about my work, there are plenty of avenues to do so, and reviews are not the right avenue for that.
