  - For me, writers block is burnout. The best way to deal with it, of course, is to prevent it by prioritizing the things that allow me to function at my best--like getting enough sleep, good nutrition, and exercise.
    
    When burnout does happen, I deal with it by getting on the treadmill, the bicycle, or the elliptical. If I'm not on a deadline I'll take a long break outside, sitting in the park or walking around the neighborhood. Sometimes decluttering or deep cleaning the writing studio helps.

    - Absolutely, Lisa! At the end of the day, it's about #selfcare and #mentalhealth. I also find being with a good friend or writing buddy (even better for coffee or wine!), who makes you laugh and good about yourself, is great medicine.

  - Assuming they could be historical figures, I would invite Edgar Allan Poe, because he's the first author I ever studied in-depth, Raymond Chandler, because he's the writer to whom my own work is most often compared, and Oscar Wilde, because he's the first author I remember reading and re-reading over and over and over again.
