About
I was born in Manila, Philippines. My country is made up of 7,100 islands.
I was a ‘working student’ during my college years (tough times 1975-79). I’ve learned the hard way, no money in my pockets, woes here & there. As soon as I’ve graduated from college, I went straight to Ateneo Graduate School and started my MBA studies. I was in the middle of my 2nd semester when I got invited to Germany by my elder sister Helen, who was at that time working as a nurse in Hamburg. I left Manila in 1979. I was married to a German and we’ve got 2 kids together. Obviously, my kids are half caste, half-German & half-Filipino. They are to 99% European in character and behaviour, unfortunately. It’s hard to bring up your kids in a Filipino way if you are living in Europe, even for both Filipino parents, if you know what I mean. Anyway, they are both grown-ups now and are both professional nurses and I am more than satisfied with what they have both achieved in life. I'm a happy grandma of two girls. I have lived in Germany for 25 years. I moved to England in 2004. England is now my home and I so much love living here.
