What did reading and writing mean to you as a child and how has that meaning evolved for you over time?
I loved books since I was a little girl. My mother used to read to me every night before bed. once I could read on my own, my parents provided a never-ending supply of reading material.
When, in general, are you most and least inspired to write?
I'm inspired all the time. Finding the time to sit and write it down is another thing. I think I'm least inspired after a long workday that leaves me feeling drained. I still have a pesky day job ;)

Max and company. I knew going in when I started writing the Fear Inc series, I wanted to write a story with strong friendships that were really more like family.
Who was your inspiration for the character Lawson Nottingham in "For Your Love"?
Believe it or not, the idea came from a true crime documentary. The police were trying to solve a murder and the prime suspects were identical twins. Even though "For Your Love" isn't a thriller or suspenseful in any way, it got me thinking about the twin angle. it was then, Lawson (LT) and Lawrence (Ren) were born. The flashy rockstar and his behind-the-scenes twin brother.
Did you ever have moments of uncertainty while writing "The Secrets We Keep" or did you plan everything from the get-go?
I didn't have uncertainty. This particular story was written for an anthology. The hard part was telling their story in under 10,000 words.
As a writer, what are you afraid of more: that your writing will get bad but everyone will be too nice to tell you? Or be criticized for something that's good and begin to doubt yourself?
Imposter Syndrome is real. I feel it almost every day. I'm not afraid of either, although I do hope if the quality of my stories diminishes, someone will take pity on me and let me know.
Where do you stand on the traditional publishing vs self-publishing front?
I'm a Hybrid. I have books that are published traditionally and books I've self-published. I think that's a choice every writer has to make and there's no right or wrong way to put yourself out there. There are pros and cons to both.
What do you believe are some of your greatest accomplishments so far and what are some other goals you want to set for yourself?
Every milestone I hit is a great accomplishment. My current goal is to put out my first audiobook. At this time, I'm listening to auditions for Moon Awakened, so keep an eye out for that in the near future.
How many hours in a day do you write? Have you ever pulled an all-nighter writing?
I spend an hour or two each day working on author stuff. Whether it's writing, marketing, editing, or whatever else needs to be done. Having a day job definitely keeps me from pulling all-nighters. I have worked until 1-2 am if I'm on a deadline.
What are some ways in which you try to keep challenging yourself as a writer?
I think every new project brings its own challenges.
