Tell us a bit about your background and family.

I was born and raised in Maine, having graduated from St. Joseph’s College with a BA in Adult Education and Training and a Master’s in Administration. I completed my educational journey by obtaining my doctorate from St. Thomas University in Miami Glades, Florida. I have been happily married for seventeen years to my wife, Cheyenne, and have three daughters. Along with this, our house is comprised of two cats and a dog.

Currently, I work as the College and Correspondence Coordinator at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham, Maine which is part of the Maine Department of Corrections. Along with this, I teach for the University of Maine at Augusta.

How were you first introduced to writing?

I have loved writing ever since I was a young boy. It started with a love for reading, really. As I grew, I wanted to create my own worlds and characters.

As a kid, what were you always dreaming about?

I loved fantasy and often had dreams of fighting monsters and dragons.

Do you remember the first story you ever read and the impact it had on you?

The first story I ever read that I remember was Curious George. I loved how the book with the Man in the Yellow Hat made me laugh and feel good.

What is the most genuinely scary horror novel or story you've read?

This is a tough one as I have read many, but I will have to give a shout-out to a fellow indie author, PD Alleva’s book Golem: The Devil is in the Details. If you want to be terrified, you have to grab this! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CV5823C</p> What gave you the idea for the series, Devils Don't Fly?

I have always enjoyed reading about paranormal situations as well as the Rapture from the Bible. I thought, wouldn’t it be neat to combine the two and have a new look at an age-old theory?

Who or what was the inspiration behind the character 'Cameron Sprague' in your book "Angel Eyes: A Detective Thriller"?

For the most part, Cameron Sprague is what I vision my father would have been like back when he was a detective. I was very young when he left the police force, but I see him as being someone with a good heart who would be willing to have the ends justify the means.

What are some aspirations you have for your future as an author?

I just want to continue to write and publish my books and stories. It would be great to someday retire and live off my books, but even having one person read what I write is exciting. It is even more exciting when I get their feedback.

How has been your journey of being an author?

The journey has been fantastic. I learn more and more each day and have loved meeting many different people who share a similar passion as mine.

How many unfinished or unpublished books do you have? Do you think you'll be finishing/publishing any of these books in the near future?

Currently, I am working on three. A space opera, Eden’s Veil, is due in December this year. Book two of the Dekker De La Mare fantasy series is slated for the summer of 2023; and The Magistrate, which is a compendium novel to my first post-apocalyptic series “Earth Has Fallen,” is due out in the Fall of 2023.

What are some elements you considered when figuring out the title of your book, The Legend of Abigail Fell?

This book was a collaboration with a man I know from working in the prison system. It stems from the basic premise that people with power can have widely impactful effects on those around them and are not always good. Also, who does not love a good legend?

What should be the starting point for an aspiring writer?

The starting point for any writer is picking up a pen or pencil.

How do you usually come up with character names?

It depends. Some I have had in my mind for years. Others I have used name generators or even asked my fans.

What are your thoughts on social media for marketing or promotions?

For an Indie Author like myself, social media and marketing/promotions are essential for getting my name and stories out in front of the masses.

Are you enjoying your experience with AllAuthor so far? Would you recommend this platform to your author friends?

I have loved working with AllAuthor and have recommended the platform to my friends and fellow writers. It has also become one of the sites I try and drive my followers to, as there are so many great people (writers and readers) you can connect with.
