BIOGRAPHY

SEBASTIAN JEANPAUL RINDÉ is an aspiring writer and poet. Born in Spokane, Washington to a humble upbringing, he eventually moved to Los Angeles, California shortly after graduating high school and joining the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Sebastian served 6 years in the Marines, 3 of those years in Okinawa, Japan as an IMA attached to III MEF; assisting in joint military exercises like Ulchi Freedom Guardian and Key Resolve. When Sebastian was off military orders, he worked various odd jobs: bicycle courier in Santa Monica, waiter at a café in Venice, valet at the Montage in Beverly Hills, security at Paradise Cove in Malibu, freelance personal trainer at the famous Gold’s Gym Venice Beach, and eventually finding himself in marketing. Sebastian is now Director of Marketing for a technology startup and resides in San Pedro, California with his wife, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. Beyond writing and work, Sebastian enjoys his time outdoors camping, shooting archery, and riding his Harley.

Sebastian's writing is a sweeping social commentary for a generation in need of thoughtful reflection. His series of poems explores contemporary themes in way that provokes thought and a few chuckles. He does not hold back on his feelings about social media, our addiction to modern technology, our materialistic culture and the breakdown of our political institutions. But he does so in a way that is insightful and non-judgmental. He is simply a curious observer of humanity. His writings don't stop there as he muses about sitting alone at bar and having soulless sex. Sebastian is all of us, just with the courage and gift of wit needed to share these experiences in a deeply engaging and insightful ways. His writing is reminiscent of Jack Kerouac, or perhaps even Hunter S. Thompson. It is refreshing for its brutal truth and honesty, and is a mirror for our modern day society. Highly highly recommend. You will not want to put this book down!
