BIOGRAPHY

I came to the Netherlands from South Africa in 2001 and share my time between a historic Dutch barge in Rotterdam and a small, crumbling house in Zeeland. I should say I teach to live and live to write. Actually, what I really do is anything and everything I can to earn enough money to keep my old barge afloat. It's a labour of love and since I love writing too, I've published five books about my waterways life and also three about South Africa. They all help to keep the rust from my rivets.
