My name is Vanessa Maderer. I hold a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature. Poetry has always held my heart, and my favourite lectures were always the ones where we dissected old poetry for analysis... or we didn't, and I subtly wrote my own in the back of the room.

I have had an internship with the CampusU Journal writing blog posts for university students to relate to, and was co-founder to a (humble) editing company through which I offered my assistance in the form of line edits. More recently, I taught English to international children online. The English language, or really /words/ in general, has always been my ultimate passion.

I am author to my first published e-book of poetry entitled 'Cusp of Dusk'. Each poem deals with their own story lines or moods, but all feature the overarching theme of transition. Emotional upheaval, death, progress, setbacks, relationships beginning/ending, etc. I think transition is the true spice of life, as we are never not transitioning from one state to another.
