Welcome to Serenity Alzheimer's & Dementia Training by Alicia A. Reid, LLC.
I am the founder of Serenity Alzheimer's & Dementia Training LLC. I have been giving care for 18+ years for Alzheimer's and Dementia. I am a Dementia Practitioner. I am a Speaker. I am also, an ICA Consultant member at the International Caregivers Association. I have gained most of my experience from caring for my granny, who resided at home with my family & myself. Once I moved out, I dedicated myself to caring for her every day until she died!
This exposure gave me all the hands-on experience I needed. I discovered that I love working with the elderly and being to work as a caregiver. I have worked in every professional caregiving environment available. I earned a diploma in Transactional Dementia Intelligence (TDI). I have a fundamental knowledge of Transactional Analysis (TA) by Dr. Eric Berne.
My mission is to give you "peace of mind." I want to offer my wisdom and experience to caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals who need to be educated about Alzheimer's/Dementia. I advise everyone in contact with my company to take advantage of the free learning in the Facebook group. You don't have to be a health professional to learn; everyone can benefit from learning how to lower your risk of this disease.
I offer free training and education in the Serenity Alzheimer's Facebook Group and the Facebook Business Page. The paid training can be found here on the website under the course tab. I give the first Dementia consultation free (go to the Serenity Alzheimer's Facebook Page) On Tuesday at 3 pm EST there is a post or a Live video for Dementia Chat. It closes Friday at 11 p.m. EST; so post your concerns there and allow 48 hrs to reply. THERE IS NO PHYSICAL LOCATION FOR SERVICES. THIS IS A ONLINE BUSINESS FOR CLIENTS. When in-person events open, they will be on the events tab. Soon I will be open to healthcare facilities and home care agencies for training.
I want my students to feel equipped in the line of healthcare and to understand the Alzheimer's/Dementia client/patient. Lastly, to empathize with the client/patient and their families.

Dementia/ Alzheimer's is a cruel disease that takes the lives of many elderly daily. Don't let Dementia and Alzheimer's fool you. It doesn't just shop up in elderly patients but young adults as well.
The Mayo Clinic says that a whopping 95-percent of Alzheimer’s patients are aged 65-or older (that’s based on its assertion that only 5-percent of patients develop what is known as early-onset Alzheimer’s before age 65).
However, some other diseases that can develop earlier in life can lead to dementia, so symptoms can show up in middle age.
