Elaine Jackson is a native of Aldershot, in Hampshire - perhaps best known for its connections to the British army.Elaine has always been an avid reader, and in particular of science-fiction.
Elaine's first full length novel, 'The Methuselah Paradox', is not 'hard' science fiction, Elaine says. "It takes place in a contemporary setting, and is, I think, really a story about people whose lives have been torn apart by a series of terrible events, the effects of which will resonate through time. I like to think of it as a crime mystery with science fiction elements..."
'Minding Mama', Elaine's current WiP, is a post-apocalyptic comic book collaboration with Oregon-based artist Dan Schaefer, who has three decades in the comic, film, TV and advertising industry. He most recently worked on 'Grimm', 'The Librarians', and 'American Vandal', and a Disney project soon to be released. "Minding Mama' is an adventure story set on future Earth where a damaged ozone layer has made the surface uninhabitable. Our main protagonist is a young mother named Mama. Together with a FarmBot named Cyril (her 'Alfred' as Dan puts it) they try to find other survivors and Mama makes some unsettling discoveries about her own background..."
