It should convey the feeling of the book. A good title should give you a glimpse into the themes without opening the book. It should complement the title, which should be catchy. With as many books as there are released every day, your title and cover need to stand out to make the potential reader want to pick it up and read the back cover.
Yes, I read every review. Luckily, the majority have been overwhelmingly positive. The ones that aren't, I remind myself that they are not my audience, and move on. If it resonates with most people, that's all I can ask for. Especially when you're dealing with heavy subject matter and not exactly controversial-free suggestions.
For my next book, I'm writing tighter. The editing process was brutal, so I'm writing intentionally to minimize that process the next go around. I self-edited, and it was a grueling process. Luckily, the trade reviews are all coming back very positive, so I don't think the self-editing hurt me. It's not a route I would recommend for most, however.
