      • I would like to fill my classroom up with books I have written and see the children enjoy them. It would also be nice to walk into an unknown store while I am on a trip away from home and see my books on the shelf and children looking at them. It would be wonderful to become a full time author and spend more time at home. I plan on living for a long time so there will probably be many more new dreams that I have not thought of yet.

      • It certainly opened up the doors to world recognition and the use of media as an advertising tool. It is a another learning curve for authors and readers. Kindle and e-books will probably become a very popular way for everyone in the future. I see it in the schools already.

      • I write when I have time so it is all over the place. I have a full time teaching position and I take care of the animals on the farm and run a farm business so my writing and creating of books comes in between everything. Sometimes it is very early in the morning, sometimes it is late at night and sometimes it is with the children at school. I have notes for ideas all over the place at home and at school.

      • I am not as afraid as I once was concerning trying something new or adding some flare or extra details to the books. The children who read my book and the parents, teachers and families give me ideas and suggestions too.

      • I never really thought of a career in writing when I was really young but I liked writing songs and short stories. I thought of being a professional commercial artist and I did some of that and I thought of being a director when I did a bit of acting long ago. When I became a teacher I started thinking about writing more. I began to appreciate other writers different children's books. I also met some teachers that were authors and I saw the possibilities.

      • When I have writer's block I leave the book alone and work on other projects or books. Then later when I look at it again I see where I can make improvements. Some of my books may have to sit for a long time until I get the exact photos I want or find the time I need to complete them.

      • It was a huge learning curve and it still is but I am learning more about the writing process and the the use of various computer programs and media with each published book.

      • I used to write short stories and songs when I was younger and then I became a teacher and wrote or corrected written work. I also set up and wrote all the articles on our farm site for a number of years. I started writing children's books last Christmas after I was playing around with a 2D animation program. It was always my intention to write children's books someday.

      • Your intended audience should really enjoy your book and want to read it over and over again. The use of correct spelling, punctuation, formatting and font size as well as making sure that the story is an interesting read that grabs the reader immediately.
