      • Not in my historical fiction, but I also write contemporary romance series as Georgina Troy. One of my Georgina Troy books, A Jersey Affair was inspired by a yachting cruise my friend and I were invited to join in the South of France. We were invited by someone I knew to join him, his two brothers and five other friends. We were collected in Paris by their father and driven to their home to meet the others going on the cruise. It was only when we arrived at the magnificent chateau where their family lived that we discovered they were Counts. We had a great time. Years later my friend suggested I use our experience as inspiration for a book and that's what I did.

      • I've been writing bits and pieces since being given a typewriter by Father Christmas when I was seven. I wrote my first book in 1997 but did nothing with it and only started writing seriously again in 2005 after my children were older and I had more time to myself to write.
