Pace yourself, take your time. Make sure you make time to do things outside of the house. It' s not going anywhere.
(I say this, but do I practice it? That's the real question)
I've written pretty much my whole life. As part of her curriculum, my fourth grade teacher had us make several books exploring the different kinds (fables, biographies, etc.) I was in love with it, though my parents didn't approve. Later in life I was able to come back to it when I branched off into fan fiction (MUCH later in life) and now here I am.
I always like the idea of telling stories. With the fan fic, it often felt like something was missing. When you make your own stories, though, you have control from start to finish (as much as you can control a story)
