I always wanted to be an author, specifically novels, even more specifically science fiction. My ultimate dream would be to earn a living with it. Fortunately, in wanting to write authentic sci-fi, I got a physics degree which enabled me to get a job with NASA. I'd probably be living under a bridge if I'd counted on earning enough from writing alone. LOL. It became full-time after I retired, but my work NASA and education provided excellent experience that has enhanced my writing. They say "write what you know" so the more world experience you have, the richer your writing can be, though of course research is still required.
Write the best possible novels I can and garner recognition from some of the reputable contests. I've been occupied writing the past year or so and need to get back on social media, get busy writing blogs more regularly again, and so forth.
