Well, sales is the easy answer and that means readership. I do not see the point otherwise. Most people want their characters known and loved as much as you love them.
The cover is extremely important because it is often what catches the eye of your potential reader. And I like covers to be meaningful to what the story is about. On title, I like there to be a mysteriousness to it. The best titles are the ones where readers discover the hidden meaning in the story. I like to do that with my work.
