BIOGRAPHY I'm a former grade school teacher who always wanted to write a children's book, and I wanted it to be about frogs. And it was. I hadn't planned on writing any more books, but I ended up writing four more. I'm working on my sixth book right now.
I never dreamed I would be an illustrator. After failing to get so... meone to illustrate my first book, I didn't know what to do. Then a relative suggested I illustrate my book myself. It took me seven hours to draw my first character. Now, I enjoy drawing my different characters.
Since I taught fourth and fifth grade for many years, I used the experiences of the classroom for my award-winning second book.
I also enjoy writing poetry, painting pictures on small wooden blocks, craft fairs, camping in our RV, and being a news junkie.read more
