BIOGRAPHY

Vanessa
Davis is a native of The Bronx, NY.

She
is a wife, mother, grandmother & a spiritual parent to many.

Mrs.
Davis is an Apostle-Prophetess & Sr. Pastor of The Power of Light Deliverance Ministries Global. She is a sought-after speaker, especially for women, due to the strong call, powerful anointing and platforms for women's ministry and their overall empowerment.

As
well, she is an entrepreneur & CEO of Divine Mantles Publishing & Pictures, an independent publishing & film company, a few other businesses & created “Dorothy’s House”, the ministry’s Women’s Center for her platforms.

As
a leader, an author, speaker, advocate, activist, teacher & poet, she uses the wisdom and faith she's gained through the many years as a student in the “Hard Knocks” school of life's trenches. She employs these experiences to minister, lead, teach, counsel
& love on those who have been hurt, abandoned, abused, lost, rejected, overlooked, etc.

Her
current books, “Poems Of Reflection: Hear My Silent Voice” both Volumes 1 & 2, help to form the foundation of her ministerial vision, it’s platforms & her forthcoming book, soon to be released.

      • Publishing my first book changed my process of writing by forcing me to learn how it all works. As I wrote & had to do it all by myself, I learned, and am still learning about editing, writing, formatting, book covers, the whole process. I am CEO of my own indie publishing & film company, so I am learning through an on-the-job-training process, as I go. It is helping me to perfect & hone my skills, so that I can be better & help others who come along.

      • Literary success to me, is when the readers are inspired, healed, delivered, finding their freedom, their voice, after reading my works. I don't write books solely for the finances, as much as it is for the reader's spiritual & personal condition, wholeness, wellness, progress in & through identifiable situations they may have gone through, or are experiencing.

      • I have been writing for, what seems like, forever. One of the gifts I was created, and given, to do is to write. I have been using my writing as an outlet, to get me through many adversities, as well joyous times in my life. My adversities & the need to be heard or show emotion, even if only on paper, was what inspired me to write. Writing is my voice. Writing is my escape. Writing was a lifeline that helped save my life. There were many things I internalized, I couldn't talk about... So, I wrote about it.

      • My schedule can be quite full, as I am a wife, business owner, Spiritual leader in full-time ministry, etc. I have to pace myself, so there's no feelings of depletion or burn-out. I set a writing schedule that will allow me to commit to a certain # of hours a certain # of times per week. So, it can be hectic, but all worth it end the end.

      • Most definitely! FIRST, I pray about it. Then, I usually take a break, but not too long. I don't want to get complacent, or become too far removed off schedule. I travel, maybe go shopping, spend time pampering myself or go out w/ my husband, family; Go take a scenic drive or day trip & enjoy the glory of natural surroundings which inspires me.

      • Having to relive certain experiences, as I write, that may not be pleasant. Sometimes, we could think we're healed or have closure, but in writing it reveals what's needed to be dealt with. In doing so, I finally get closure, healing, deliverance to move on not just in my writing, but in my life.

      • I am humbled by the experience. I am grateful, because no readers, no books moving. We don't write the books to sell them to self, or keep in our own hands. I am thankful for all who are inspired by, as well take an interest in, my creative works.
