Andrew Dahms
BIOGRAPHY

Andrew Dahms is an author, program manager, and husband based in Brisbane, Australia. A fan of science fiction from a young age, Andrew has always been intrigued by the potential of and problems posed by advances in artificial intelligence, and has a keen interest in combining eastern and western approaches to the genre.

Andrew is a strong proponent of self-improvement, psychological safety, and the power of introverts, and believes we each hold the power to improve ourselves and overcome personal trauma and hardship. His stories are a mix of action, mystery, and personal discovery that explore some of the questions about who we are as individuals and what lies on the other side of discovering our potential.

      • Find the right time and place to write - for yourself; not just what the writing books recommend. Everyone's schedule is different, as is their writing style, so if a coffee shop isn't the best place for you, search for the one that does.

Learn to sense when you start feeling tired after a writing session, and leave things at that. And don't feel bad if you can't meet your daily quota every single time. Sometimes, scenes need time to rest and develop, and you need to approach them feeling ready and rested.
