BIOGRAPHY

I was born in Pittsfield, MA. I earned my B.A. in Journalism-Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and enjoyed a long and successful career in social marketing and public relations with New York State government. It was while living and working in New York's Mohawk Valley that I took an interest in the 17th-century history of the area and in the relationships and interactions between the Dutch and English fur traders and their Iroquois neighbors and French adversaries.
