Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background before becoming an author?
My background before becoming a published author has been a long road to say the least. I grew up in the foster care system until I was eighteen. Everything took place with high school and college in Indiana. I graduated high school in 1992 and went to college for Tool and die until 1994. I moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1995 and soon thereafter I got into the flooring industry. I have been a Hardwood Floor Technician, sanding/installing hardwood floors for 27 years now and still going. I didn't start writing until 2016 - I finally got the book published in 2020.
What inspired you to delve into creative and spiritual writing?
I have always had a passion for creative writing. I got a late start because of life circumstances, plus I didn't recognize my own passion early on in life. I got into spiritual writing because of a personal spiritual awakening experience that put me on a new path of wanting to be in service to others.
Could you share your journey of transitioning from your previous endeavors to becoming an author?
I am actually still in the process of transitioning out of the flooring business to being a full-time writer/author. It has not been an easy or fast transition.
What motivated you to write your first book?
I have always been self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset/spirit and very ambitious. Once I discovered my passion for creative writing, I wanted to re-invent myself as fast as possible. I am also looking to become a Spiritual Life Coach and pursue musicianship as a drummer.
Your book is titled "Coming Out of the Illusion". Could you provide us with a brief overview of what readers can expect from it?
The title of the book represents everything that we are going through right now as a collective society/civilization and on a personal level. It is all about coming out of the third dimensional matrix of Illusions. As people move forward in awareness and growing consciousness/raising vibration on a personal and planetary level, then they will start to realize their true self and the nature of the real reality that has been hidden from the populace.
Your book is titled "Coming Out of the Illusion". Could you provide us with a brief overview of what readers can expect from it?
The book will help people realize their own personal magnificence because it is all about empowering/Inspiring people in multiple ways. Emotionally, Physically, Spiritually and Mentally.
Can you describe your writing process? Do you have any specific routines or rituals that help you get into a creative mindset?
I am basically always in the creative mindset. My writing is in an original/unique style that I call Visionary Spirituality. This is where I integrate multiple thought concepts together that is coming from a variety of stimuli, and I proceed to create a new picture of the subject/topic being talked about. I have a lot of personal life experience mixed in with self-education and spiritual truth- seeking. I do a written rough draft for the whole book and then type it up, adding or changing things as I go until the final draft is complete.
How did you balance your writing commitments with other aspects of your life?
Having a full-time job definitely takes up a lot of time that could be put towards writing and book business. So, you have to get it in where you can. I prefer early morning writing sessions if possible, trying to commit to some every day.
What are some of the key themes or messages you explore in your books?
My book and all my writings carry a very natural flow, pure intent and authentic message of Inspiration and empowerment. In a way that the reader will understand that they are the master of their own reality, no one else.
Are there any personal experiences or beliefs that you've incorporated into your book's content?
My writings carry a lot of personal experiences, in a sense where I have literally pulled myself up from the gutter. It represents me growing up from a little boy to adult man and from being unaware/asleep to being spiritually awake. I do not push my beliefs on anyone, and I am very Spiritual but not religious/ no religion affiliation. It is my goal to share all my knowledge and Golden nuggets of wisdom that I have learned throughout the years with all who are interested.
How has your own journey influenced your writing style and the stories you choose to tell?
My writings are heavily influenced by my own personal experiences/journey in life. I truly do put my heart, soul and high vibrational energy into it. I am happy to talk about and share everything important to me and what is good for everybody else to know, that I have figured out along the way.
What kind of impact do you hope your book will have on its readers?
It is my goal for all my writings to Inspire as many people as possible in a way in which they can find their true passions in life also. All the while, gaining the knowledge needed to raise their own consciousness/awareness levels to new heights.
What were some of the challenges you faced while writing and publishing your first book?
Time - Has been a huge challenge for me. I never thought it would take so long to get things going and get the book published. Figuring out the new territory of being a published author has been a huge challenge also. I tried for traditional publishing starting out and quickly realized it wasn't for me. So, I turned to independent publishing and finally got going.
Do you have plans for more books in the future? If so, can you give us a sneak peek into what you might be working on next?
I am currently working on book two. It is going to be EPIC! It will be longer with more chapters. I try to pick out the best and strongest topic matter for the chapters that everybody deals with in life, such as: Energy, Health, Well-Being... That is in book one. Book 2 will have a lot more of what I call special sections and it will have more poems and all kinds of creative writing parts that go along with the specific chapters. My first book is meant to be on another level in terms of spiritual knowledge integration - Book two will take it to another level still that is virtually unknown to the reader, and I plan on book three to advance even further. My writings are meant to be a navigational guide in terms of people moving through the third/fourth dimension and onto the fifth dimension. The material will be filled with very expansive knowledge to inspire/empower everyone who reads it.
