Like a bold rubber band, Daren Black leaped into practicing yoga and meditation in the 1970s. From that point of initial instruction, Daren has been unwavering in maintaining his personal daily practice.

Multiple vehicle accidents left Daren with chronic injuries, which he did his best to ignore.

Life took Daren through a deadly gauntlet of tragedies, heartbreak and homelessness. Fighting simultaneous illnesses, including severe digestive issues, chronic fatigue, injuries, allergies, parasitic infections, etc., Daren spiraled down. Unable or unwilling to accept defeat... or the fact that his own life was in serious jeopardy, Daren kept going.

Daren met Gurudev Sri Sri in 1988. Daren’s life was saved by Gurudev Sri Sri. Intensive breathing practices, mantras, herbs, oils, and large doses of divine grace transformed Daren’s life.

Encouraged and inspired by Gurudev Sri Sri, Daren developed PracticalAyurveda the website. Daren has worked to make Ayurveda more user-friendly since 1995. Daren loves to help people by using PracticalAyurveda for health, beauty, and personal empowerment programs. read more
