What’s your happiest memory from childhood?
In 1969, I was nine. Christmas week me, my parents, brother and sister visited my grandparent’s house in Hollywood, Florida. The house smelled like a pine forest. Santa came and brought us presents. I remember receiving a watch. Just before eating our Christmas turkey dinner, my grandfather asked me to share a blessing. My heart opened with gratitude and out of my small voice came a sweet prayer. A tradition began from that day. On holidays when we sat down to dinner, they asked me to share a blessing.
Do you remember any dreams you had as a child?
I was the oldest child of four with a lot of responsibility. My mother was in an out of mental institutions. Father was absent a lot. My dreams happened when I read books. I escaped into time and places of historical fiction. Loved James Michener’s books like “The Source”. I dreamed of visiting places in his stories. I have visited Jerusalem where “The Source” takes place.
At what age did you write your first story? What was it about?
In ninth grade, my English teacher encouraged the class to write short stories. I remember writing of pirates sailing across the ocean.
What’s something on your bucket list that you think is unique?
I would like to visit France and stay awhile. I am learning French online so I can communicate when I go.
I love to sing. About eighteen months ago, I began taking piano lessons so I can sing and play music. In November I played in a recital, (no singing) sponsored by the music studio.
What inspired you to become a serious student of the spiritual?
Since childhood I have had empathic visions of God, angels and Christ. Organized religions did not fulfill my quest to know more. In 1973, I met my spiritual mentor John-Roger. With his guidance, I discovered my spiritual heart through inner discipline of spiritual exercises and soul transcendence.
What’s the strangest thing you have ever had to research online for your book?
Ancient Atlantis with its DNA experiments, anti-gravity machines and high spiritual technology.
How much did you research while writing your book, “Do You Have a Dream Workbook”?
My Dream book took me forty years of living to write. Early childhood was an abusive and painful experience. I wanted to know what it was like to love and be loved. Through years of psychotherapy and spiritual practices I developed a process of how to redirect myself into greater courage, confidence, and creativity.
What would you have done if someone gifted you a supernatural compass that allows you to travel through time and space?
I would go back to my teenage years and redo my life at age 15 onward. If I timed traveled, I would visit the Ancient Atlantis in Einstein’s Compass.
What’s the best way to write a great science fiction book? What should the author be careful about?
In writing science fiction, you must make the story believable. Ray Bradbury’s books are good examples of how to write science fiction.
Did you expect “Einstein’s Compass” to become 2019 eLit Award-Winner in Juvenile/YA Fiction? What was your reaction?
I wondered if I could win book awards. It surprised me to learn I won the 2019 eLit Award. Winning the eLit award gave me confidence to enter more book award contests. Since then, I have won ten book awards.
How would you describe your experience of assisting thousands to find their spiritual wisdom to solve everyday challenges?
When someone comes to me for help, I listen to what their heart is saying. Many people just want to be heard without someone judging or putting their point of view over theirs. People discover their own wisdom when someone like me pays attention with genuine tender caring.
How does it feel to be an award-winning self-help and motivational author?
I am a shepherd of the words in the books I have written and grateful my work is making a difference in people’s lives.
Do you have a dream workbook?
My dream workbook is in my heart. The processes in my Dream book are now a natural part of me.
Which is the next book you are working on? Is it a series or a stand-alone book?
I am working on a second Compass book.
"The Jesus Compass"
Premise:
Joses and his Desposyni Brothers, descendants of Jesus Christ, are summoned on behalf of Emperor Constantine to Rome (318 AD) by Pope Sylvester to teach the Pauline Doctrine. The Brothers want Sylvester to revoke the Greek Christian Bishops in Jerusalem of their doctrine, money and power and return all to them. During the voyage the supernatural Jesus Compass from Atlantis is gifted to Joses to assist he and his Brothers to travel through time and space and find wisdom in other dimensions like the lost city of Atlantis, but evil forces seek the power of the Compass including a monstrous shape-shifting dragon from a different age.
