BIOGRAPHY

My name is Ian Mayes and I live in the UK.

I am an author and illustrator and I am on the verge of publishing a new book that’s titled A day in the life of Russell Sprout.

It will help teach basic food nutrition, as nutrition has always been something I have studied and been interested in. I have qualifications in the subjects and I wanted to create a book that was fun, educational with added humour for good measure.

Mr Thinkalot’s Fantastic Space Journey was the first book I wrote and illustrated. Although at the time, I had not been drawing for over 15 years due to my health problems. I was happy that I managed to illustrate and write the book. It was very challenging at the time, as I did not own a computer, software or drawing tablet but I did my actual best.

This year I was able to revisit the book, it has been really fun going back to the beginning and remastering the whole book. Seeing the book come to life again has really made me happy. I wanted to keep the cover similar to the original, but I have improved on it.

Mr Thinkalot series has many characters that you will fall in love with, it’s a Sci-fi adventure book which was aimed at making the scary sounding subjects a lot less scary and worrying, In a fun and engaging way it’s a positive book that acknowledges that we still have time to make the changes.

So get ready to blast off, Mr Thinkalot’s Fantastic Space Journey remastered version will be coming soon. It should be available to pre-order in the next few weeks, when I get the dates I will add them here.

To enjoy the adventure in its best form, I would recommend the remastered version. It will also be available on Kindle, paperback and hardcover and audio. So even more ways to read it.

Pre-Order the book to go on a space adventure like no other, it has humour and heart and I have worked really hard on it, I am really proud of it.

    Thank you for the kind message, the story is based on fruit and vegetable characters that have lives, dreams, goals and aspirations.
    
    As humans we don’t see it, but they strive to make humans healthy. The book is a nutritional teaching book for children, In the book you learn of all about the nutritional values of each character and why they are good for us.
    
    Welcome to Greenhouse Elementary, fruit and vegetables go to school to learn and be the best veg and fruit they can be. Follows Russell sprout as he goes through trials and tribulations, school life and bullies.
    
    The book was designed to hopefully get younger children eating more fruit and vegetable's for the nutritional values, but also for them to understand why fruit and veg is good for us.
