"Spending time with her growing kids and walking her dog is what Katy Evans enjoys doing apart from writing Romance. Katy Evans is a New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author.
With her books being translated into nearly a dozen languages across the world, Katy says going with the flow is key! The flow of your muse, your ideas and your very life.
Since her debut, 10 of her titles have been New York Times bestsellers.
Like every other author, it is Katy's dream to see ANY of her works on the big screen.

Currently working on her third Manhattan series book, after Tycoon and Mogul, the author says it is important to listen to reviews that resonate with you, and take the rest with gratitude for having been read."
Which genre do you enjoy reading the most?

I have to say my favorite genre is definitely romance. There is something so right and pure about two people with different backgrounds, goals, and aspirations, to come together and touch each other as profoundly as our heroes and heroines do in romances.

How does your family feel about your writing and your various achievements?

My family is so proud of my writing and the fact that readers have responded to my stories the way they have. They say you just need to be yourself and your tribe will find you and I definitely see that through my stories. The more authentic I am and true to myself, the more I am able to connect with people who love the same things I do.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Which is your favorite among these?

I love walking my dog, it really refreshes and destresses me. I also cherish spending time with my family. As my kids grow older they have less time for mom, so I have learned to enjoy to the fullest every moment that we are able to spend together.

Your debut novel itself became a bestseller. How did that inspire you to write more and better?

I was mindblown by the success of Real and so touched by letters received from my readers. It really inspired me to continue sharing my work. Although I know its hard for every reader to love every one of my books, I write each of them with everything that I have in me to give - and it is a pleasure and honor to be able to share them!

What is your secret behind so many bestselling novels?

Its been difficult at times, trying to best myself with each and every release - improve in writing or reviews or sales or all of these. So the best advice is do not even try. As you mature and grow as an author, your “hero” changes because you change. So its best not to try to stay the same, but to evolve and to simply write the book that most calls you. The one that empassions you, that makes you curious and eager to sit down on that chair and immerse yourself in it. Readers are very smart! They can tell when you love your own words, worlds and characters, and when you are maybe trying to force it too much. So going with the flow is key! The flow of your muse, your ideas and your very life.

Who or what do you attribute all the success of your books to?

I have the best readers and bloggers. Its truly hard to find your readership if they don’t know your book even exists. So its important to get the word out, and I wouldn’t be here without the support of those who read my books did.

Which is a couple you look up to for inspiration for your romance novels?

I tend to simply get the ideas of my hero and heroine in my imagination or feel them as “energies”, but I cannot say that I do not swoon when I see Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Prince Harry and Meghan, and any real life love story! Love is addictive, after all.

Your novels have been translated into many languages and have readers all across the globe. How many languages can you speak and write in?

I can fluently speak English and Spanish, but I can sometimes understand other Latin languages because of ththe Spanish. I also know a teensy bit of French and German. But not enough to be able to speak it.

What is the most attractive thing in Aaric Christos from Tycoon, according to you?

Oh Christos is just delectable all over!! Haha. I truly love his persistence, his relentless determination and drive, and his unwavering caring for Bryn.

What inspired the story of Mogul?

Mogul is one of my funnest books to date. I was immediately hooked on this couple when I met the hero and heroine as side characters in Tycoon. I couldn’t wait to find out their backstory and see what was keeping them apart!

Which of the White House books is your personal favorite any why?

Oh this is a hard one! I love both books because I suppose I adore the characters so much. But my favorite is probably the first one, Mr. President, because its the book that opened up this whole new world and series for me.

Which of your books would you like to be adapted as a film? Why?

I would love love LOVE a series of either my Real or Manwhore series, or both. I would also love a film about Mr. President and Commander in Chief. I guess it would be amazing to see ANY of my works on the big screen. It is every author’s dream.

How do you grow from the reviews you receive for your work?

I used to read every review until it started to affect - mostly, paralyze - my writing. Which I know isn’t very productive at all!! So now, I try to get input from my trusted beta readers and friends about a book before release, and mostly, I try to go into myself and find the truth of how I feel about it. If its a book I am passionate and proud of, then nothing anyone says should change that. Some books are a hit for some and a miss for others, and viceversa. So its important to listen to reviews that resonate with you, and take the rest with gratitude for having been read. Then move on to what makes you happy and once again try to bring your story forward to the best of your ability.

Which is the next book you are working on? What is it about?

I am so excited to be working on my third Manhattan series book, after Tycoon and Mogul. I think this is my favorite of all three and I am dying to share with all of you!
