by way of rough-and-tumble Philadelphia, comes artist Lamar D. Sol. Starting on stage in grade school and continuing to write and perform throughout his life, Lamar has always been a socially aware artist, aiming to educate through entertainment as the managing director of LA.F.F.P.A. (Lamar Foundation for the Performing Arts). From stand-up comedy to house music, he is an artist of many genres and even has a cookbook available on Amazon.
Lamar has written three feature-length screenplays: ENTANGLED, a suspense thriller; JANE FLYNN, an adaptation of The Secret Adversary by Agatha Christie; and JACK WOODS, a romantic comedy choc-full of political satire. He has also written a plethora of shorts, mastering the art of low-budget production. His writing and producing credits include THE SLAVES, an animated short and web series, THE LAST QUEEN, a sci-fi series resonating with the current times, and MEET THE MILLS, a quirky comedy about talking pepper mills.
His largest production to date is SANGUINARIA (BLOODSTONE), a 39-minute horror short. Never one to wait for approval or require a big budget, Lamar blazes his own trail, welcoming creative intersections whenever they happen.
Lamar recently completed his first book, Code of Shadows, a sci-fi fantasy exploring humanity, technology, and the struggle for truth. This ambitious project adds to his ever-growing body of work, demonstrating his versatility as a storyteller across mediums.
