Lillie Sloan is a native of Southern Arkansas where she lives with her husband of 25+ years and their three grown children. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and works with children in many different aspects.

Lillie has had a love of books since childhood. "I don't remember a time when I didn't read," Lillie said. She wrote her first short story at the age of 9, writing on the back of old homework pages. She was active in her high school Creative Writing Club, serving as president. She also wrote for the high school newspaper.

Lillie spent her teen years volunteering at the county library and eventually worked there for three years before attending college. Being surrounded by books was a dream come true.

As sometimes happens with life, Lillie became focused on her family, and writing became a dream that would be pushed to the backburner. But a life-threatening disease and many months of treatment and hospital visits led Lillie to return to her love of writing and focusing on the gift that God has given her.

In 2018, Lillie made a commitment to her writing career and released her first early reader chapter book, "Winifred Rose Armstrong: IT Happened."
