Sketching. No time to do it now.
What inspired you to began a career as a police officer?
I didn't want a job sitting behind a desk.
At what age did you begin writing? Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
In my forties and it was my first book Last Stand
What inspired the plot of your book, Last Stand?
There was some history and my fascination with the post-apocalyptic genre.
Your thoughts on conventional vs. self-publishing? What route did you choose and why?
Self-publishing because I believe the traditional method is almost impossible to break into. However, I am looking for that big break where I can get into the big leagues.
What's the strangest thing you have ever had to research online for your book?
Nothing strange.
What is the sweetest fan-mail that you have ever received?
An Army vet contacted me about how much he liked my book and how he would be recommending it to all of his Army buddies.
Which option do you prefer, reading some books or watching movies adapted from them?
I like them both equally.
What is the best writing tip you ever received and who gave it to you?
I'm self-taught and haven't really spoken to anybody about it.
How did you feel after saving the life of a suspect who attempted to hang himself to avoid apprehension?
I really didn't think anything. It was part of my job. We are required to save any life, if we can, regardless of who they are.

Are you working on a new book? Is it going to be a series or a standalone?
I'm working on several. I have a series in the works and stand-alone as well.
